On Jun 30, 2021, BTI Defence successfully delivered the 30MM MSI Defence Seahawk LW30M A1 Remote Weapon Station (RWS) Naval Gun System. The Seahawk LW30M A1 RWS delivery enhances capabilities of TNI-AL’s KRI Pollux 935. The Naval Chief of Staff (KSAL) Admiral Yudi Margono said the new warship will be deployed under the command of Indonesian Navy Hydro-Oceanography Center (Pushidrosal), and expected to carry out marine surveillance and sea mapping missions.
The ship measures 45.50 meters long, with a width of 7.90 meters,a height of 4.25 meters and a draft of 2.20 meters with a weight of 220 tons which categorised as Fast Patrol Boat(PC40). “The Seahawk LW30M A1 is the world’s most advanced lightweight 30MM RWS naval gun system. It is equipped with an state-of-the-art Fire Control System, the compact architecture allows for a small installation envelope, ideally suited to smaller fast attack vessels” as stated by MSI Defence Systems Ltd.
With the success of the first Seahawks LW30M A1 delivery, Peter Tjahjono as Director of PT. BTI Indo Tekno (BTI Defence) stated that the ship modification, installation, integration, testing and handover will be on schedule in 2021. “"Three units will be installed in 2021 and the remaining two units will be installed in 2022," he said.
