BTI Defence and MSI Defence Renew Partnership, Strengthening Support for Indonesian Navy Fleet Modernisation

PARIS, 5 November 2026 — BTI Defence and MSI Defence have renewed their partnership through the signing of extensions to their LOA and POA at the MSI Defence stand during the Euronaval exhibition in Paris, France. The signing reaffirms an eight-year partnership supporting the Indonesian Navy’s requirements for naval weapon systems.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by two officers from the National Defence Council of the Republic of Indonesia, First Admiral TNI Indra Agus Wijaya and First Marshal TNI Muhamad Agus Fauzan, alongside Indonesia’s Defence Attaché to France, First Marshal TNI Hendra Gunawan. Their attendance marked an important occasion in strengthening ties between Indonesia’s defence industry and its international partners.

Over the past eight years, cooperation between BTI Defence and MSI Defence has contributed to the installation of seven naval guns aboard Indonesian Navy vessels. This achievement provides a strong foundation for continuing the partnership and supporting the modernisation and operational readiness of Indonesia’s naval fleet.

The renewal of the LOA and POA represents a strategic step towards ensuring continuity of cooperation while opening opportunities for broader business development. For BTI Defence, this long-standing partnership forms part of its efforts to strengthen domestic industrial capabilities through collaboration with international defence companies.

Looking ahead, potential areas for further cooperation include the supply of weapon systems for new shipbuilding programmes, upgrades to existing installations, and enhanced after-sales support. These opportunities encompass maintenance, repair, spare parts provision, and technical training to support system readiness and sustain operations throughout their service life.

Through this renewed partnership, BTI Defence and MSI Defence reaffirm their commitment to supporting the Indonesian Navy’s requirements while creating opportunities to further develop Indonesia’s defence industrial capabilities.
